Helping You Feel Good About Where Your Waste Ends Up

Whether you’re disposing of waste at home or at a local facility, we’re working to process it in a way that supports the health of our community and environment while keeping your rates stable.

From Your Curb

Curbside bins make it easy for you to dispose of garbage, recycling, and organic waste. And we’re making it easier for your hauler to complete their routes efficiently by providing a one-stop local facility where they can deliver loads for processing.

From Local Transfer Stations

Waste dropped off at local transfer stations is also delivered to Re:Source for processing and recovery. We’re then able to create more compact loads, reducing the cost of final transportation and semi-truck traffic on local streets and highways.

From Recycling Drop-Off Stations

When you bring extra recycling to your local hauler’s facility, or here to Re:Source’s public drop-off, we make sure materials are properly sorted and efficiently transported to DEQ-approved processing facilities where they can find a second life.

How You Can Help Support a Sustainable Waste System

While facilities like ours are working with manufacturers to help make more sustainable products, processing and market limitations mean not everything is recyclable. It’s important not to “wishcycle”: aka place items you hope can be recycled into your recycling bins. Always follow your local hauler’s recycling guide to ensure we can safely and effectively sort materials.

Though it may sound contradictory to the idea of recycling: when in doubt, throw it out! Contaminants in your recycling leave otherwise reusable materials at risk of winding up in the landfill and increases our costs to sort out and dispose of non-recyclable items.
